Digital Soil Mapping (DSM) workflow developed at ISRIC
The Digital Soil Mapping (DSM) workflow developed at ISRIC provides a file-based workflow for producing digital soil maps using Random Forest and Quantile Regression Forests.
The workflow starts from standardised inputs, organises data for modelling, performs modelling with Random Forest, and generates soil maps together with pixel-based uncertainty estimates using Quantile Regression Forests. Each processing step requires specific input files and produces well-defined output files. Files are named and organised according to the selected variables and modelling options, while a configuration file records the chosen settings to ensure reproducibility.
The workflow documentation is available at https://docs.isric.org/seedling/.
